August is American Artists Appreciation Month

My mother, a retired Human Resources professional, is also gifted with artistic talent. Tapping in to her genes, I’ve participated in the Bras for a Cause project sponsored by the Coastal Carolina Artists and Crafters Guild Inc. (CCAC) the past two years creating bee-themed bras to highlight my business brand and support (pardon the pun) an organization raising money for charity. Select bras from this project are being featured at the Bras for a Cause Brunch and Auction as part of the inaugural Jacksonville Fashion Week (Sept 26-27, 2014) and my 2014 entry was chosen as part of the collection to be auctioned off! I never thought my “closet” crafting to raise brand awareness would be featured as part of a fashion show!
