The city of Beaufort is trying to make it easier to for people to renew business licenses and pay certain taxes.

The city will launch an online option for business license renewals and to pay hospitality and accommodations taxes, a city news release said. The system will make it more convenient for businesses to renew their license or submit monthly filings, city finance director Kathy Todd said in the release.

A link to the payment system will be added to the city’s website.

A series of workshops will be held on the topic in October to help business owners create login information and become familiar with the system, on the first floor of City Hall, 1911 Boundary St. in Beaufort, on the following dates:

A Oct. 11, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A Oct. 12, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

A Oct. 20, noon to 2 p.m.

A Oct. 21, 9 to 11 a.m.
